Beautifully Restored with Striking Looks

With the introduction of the Chevrolet Corvette in 1953, a new type of American car was now being produced. The two seater roadster was back, and proving to be popular. Ford jumped into the game with the Ford Thunderbird in 1955, it was an instant sales success, quickly outselling the Corvette. By 1957 the styling had gone through some minor tweaks, but some design cues were present that would forever the associated with the Ford Thunderbird, most notably the porthole windows in the optional hard top.

This 1957 Ford Thunderbird has the very desirable colour combination of Raven Black exterior with Flame Red interior. Powered by the 312 cu in Ford engine, automatic transmission and outfitted with some very rare and sought after options. These options include power windows, Ford Masterguide Power Steering, Ford Swift Sure Power Brakes, Town & Country Radio, Kelsey Hayes Chrome Wire Wheels with radial white wall tires, optional porthole hard top, optional black soft top and even the 50’s era style of fender skirts. This car has been beautifully restored and well cared for, previously part of the Amos Minter Collection who is well known for knowledge and expertise of early Thunderbirds. This car runs and drives as beautifully as it looks. An excellent collector car with classic 50’s styling which looks perfectly at home in any collection, or turning heads cruising the boulevard on a Sunday afternoon.
