1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429
A Very Unique And Special Boss
In January 1969, Ford Motor Company started production of the 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. Featuring the stock NASCAR version 429 engine. NASCAR rules required that at least 500 cars be fitted with this motor and sold to the general public. The Mustang's body however was not wide enough to encompass the massive Boss 429 engine. As a result Ford hired Kar Kraft to make extensive modifications to the Mustang. Some examples of those modifications including: widening the shock towers, moving the battery to the trunk, and installing extra bracing.
This very special Boss 429 was retained by the original owner until 2007. Its is still finished in its original factory applied Candy Apple Red paint with the original Black bucket interior. It is equipped with a legendary numbers matching Boss 429 engine and a numbers matching manual 4 speed close ratio manual transmission. Optioned with front air spoiler, traction-lok differential 3.91 ratio, visibility group, console, power steering, power front disc brakes, interior décor group - deluxe, am radio, deluxe belts/warning lights, color keyed racing mirrors, competition suspension, and more. During his 38 years of ownership, the original owner retained and collected two binders of documentation. Some examples of the documentation included original window stickers, original purchase contract, original build sheet, copy of title, owner's manuals, repair/maintenance invoices, and much much more. More then just a Boss 429, this is one of Fords great creations and one of the most desirable muscle cars of all time. This is truly a unique opportunity to purchase a very special Boss 429.
