1937 Ford Pickup
As seen in the pages of Ol’ Skool Rodz and Street Rodder magazine, this Rudy Rodriguez style custom has real attitude. Based on a shortened Ford truck , the body has been chopped and channeled by
7”
for that Rudy look and topped off with a Hudson Terraplane grill. Powered by a small block Chevrolet engine with Demon triple Deuce induction on a log style manifold, and breathing through shorty style headers. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission with a tall Lokar shifter with skull head activation button. The rear end is a 1940 Ford Banjo style axle with
4:10
gears. The front suspension features a
Speedway
axle with chrome split wishbones with a 4 “drop. The wires wheels are fitted with skinny bias plies mounted on Ford drum brakes with disc brakes hidden in Buick aluminum drums up front.
The interior features early MG style seats and 40 Mercury dash with art deco style gauges. Low tech ventilation is provided by the crank out windshield for added comfort. The body is done in single stage enamel that looks like Red Oxide primer. If you’re looking for a ride that will make a lasting impression, this is it.
