The
Shelby
name attached to a Mustang has always been a symbol prestige and performance.
By 1969, the GT-350 was a great example of a small block “grand tourer” muscle
car coming fully equipped with everything from power steering to power disc
brakes and much more, while still maintaining the performance that made Shelby
Mustangs so famous.
Finished in Gulfstream Aqua paint, this 1969
Shelby GT-350 started its life being shipped to Dingwall Ford Sales Ltd in
March of 1969. Starting out as a desirable Shelby Mustang, this GT-350 is
equipped with the correct 351 “Windsor” engine and automatic transmission along
with lots of other desirable options such as power steering, power disc brakes,
factory Tach, and Shelby specific options such as Lucas driving lamps and
sequential tail lights. This GT-350 Mustang is an excellent example showcases
the uniqueness of the Shelby the standard Mustang, the unique hood with no less
than 5 vents/scoops, rear ducktail spoiler and cobra emblems differentiating it
from the crowd. To this day there is a different aura surrounding anything with
the
Shelby
name attached. Over the years, this car has been well maintained and enjoyed,
documented in the Shelby Registry, and become a fantastic car to be driven and
enjoyed with very nice overall paint, clean undercarriage and engine bay. It
would be at home cruising down the boulevard or sitting on display at the local
show to the delight of the
Shelby
and/or Mustang enthusiasts and collectors.
