1956 Chevrolet Corvette
Beautiful Restored American Icon
In response to the introduction of the Ford Thunderbird, beginning in 1955 Chevrolet began to offer a V8 option for its 2 seater sports roadster. In 1956 performance was again enhanced with more power and more engine options. Gone for good was the "Blue Flame" 6 cylinder, completely replaced by the 265 cubic inch small block making 210 hp, with an optional 2 X 4 bbl carburetor package developing 225 hp.
Beautifully restored in Venetian Red with Shoreline Beige coves and completed by a matching red interior with a white convertible soft top. This 1956 Corvette also features the optional 265 cu. in. 225hp, dual quad 2 X 4 bbl engine backed by an automatic transmission. Being part of a wonderful collection for many years, the car was kept in a beautiful climate controlled museum style facility. After coming to LMC, it was mechanically gone through and prepared for its next owner. This car starts, runs and drives incredibly well, just as it did in 1956, a true turn key collector car ready for the sunny days of summer. |
