When
released to the public initially, the Ford Mustang was aimed towards the young
car buyer, looking for a fun, stylish car with a budget in mind. But to also
appease the performance car buyer, Ford offered a solid lifter, high
performance version of their 289 V8, the K-Code rated at 271hp.
Presented
here is a factory 1965 Mustang K-Code fastback with 4 speed transmission. Painted
Caspian blue with white/blue interior, this car has a great look to it,
complimented by the 15” Torque Thrust wheels. The motor is a 289 topped with a
dual quad setup that runs fantastic and provides the perfect background noise
for the Sunday afternoon cruises. It sports a proper Rally-Pac gage cluster on
the column and has also been further upgraded with a modern radiator and pulley
system to keep the car running cool, but of course the stock pieces can be
included. This fastback represents a great opportunity to obtain a running and
driving car to be enjoyed as is, or an equally great factory K-code car to base
a full restoration on.
