2005 Chrysler
Crossfire SRT-6
330 Supercharged Horsepower
Over the
years which Chrysler was owned by Mercedes Benz, many fantastic cars were the
result. One such example is the Chrysler Crossfire. Designed on the platform of
the Mercedes SLK, Chryslers entry level performance coupe featured a very
distinctive design, the long ribbed hood leading back to the rolled “boat-tail”
rear end with large spoiler. Always revered for terrific handling
characteristics and high fun to drive factor, the Crossfire did however receive
a lot of criticism for a lack of power .... For 2005 Chrysler remedied this
issue by handing it off to the in house hot rodders in their "Street
Racing Technology" or SRT division.
Presented
here is an example of the SRT-6 edition Chrysler Crossfire. Looking aggressive with the
black paint with matching black interior, it is powered by a 3.2L supercharged
V6 engine producing 330hp and 310 lb/ft of torque with a 5 speed “Auto-Stick”
transmission. The appearance of the SRT edition is further enhanced by 18”
front and 19” rear wheels, large rear spoiler and front fascia. The interior
features SRT specific bucket seats covered in a stylish combination of leather and
suede, satin silver trim over a full center stack with controls to the Infinity
sound system and all amenities one searches for on a late model car: heated
seats, climate control, traction/stability control and sport/comfort
transmission selections. With only 2,445 miles, it still shows as new, evidence
of how well cared for this car has been for its entire life. With its
supercharged engine and distinctive styling, it is an incredible performance
bang for the buck, sure to continue turning heads for years to come.
