1975 Iroc Camaro Race Car
The International
Race of Champions (IROC) was created by Roger Penske, Les Richter and
Mike Phelps in 1973. Each race had a total of twelve entrants. For the
first IROC race, 3 litre Porsches were driven during the four day
racing series. The cost of building and maintaining the Porsches was
high and for the second season, the league decided to use the Chevrolet
Camaro instead. The first year for the IROC Camaro was 1975, IROC's 2nd
season. One of few remaining 1975 Camaro IROC race cars, this car was
restored to its original race condition by Legendary Motorcar Company
Ltd.
