1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda

Beautifully Restored "V" Code Super Track Pak E-Body

When the Barracuda was initially released in 1964, it was a small coupe based on the A body Valiant, with hopes of competing with the newly released Ford Mustang. It never caught on as the Mustang did, for many reasons. When a major redesign was done for the 1970 model year, everything changed. The new E-body Plymouth turned out to be one of the most striking eye catching cars of the muscle car era. For many reasons, all known far too well by muscle car enthusiasts, the model only last 4 more years until 1974, but partially because of this, the E-body ‘Cudas and Challengers are some of the most sought after collector cars in the world.

The beautifully restored Super Track Pak 1970 ‘Cuda originally rolled off the assembly line Feb 3rd, 1970. It shows now just as it did that day, painted its original colour of FY1 Lemon Twist with black high back bucket interior. Powered by a numbers matching 440/6 pack engine, this ‘Cuda also retains a numbers matching heavy duty 4-speed transmission and Pistol Grip shifter, with the power going to the ground through a Dana rear end with 4.10 gears. Upon decoding the fender tag, you will find out this car also came equipped with some very desirable options, some of which include A21 elastomeric coloured front bumper, A62 Rallye instrument cluster, B51 power brakes, J45 hood tie downs, M88 quarter panel tape treatment, N96 “Shaker” fresh air scoop, V6X sport stripes and the list goes on. This beautiful original ‘Cuda has been very nicely restored, and both runs & drives just as well as it looks. Easily among the most desirable of all muscle cars, this “V” code 440/6 pack ‘Cuda makes the perfect addition to any collection, or the driveway of any collector car enthusiast.
