Original Shelby GT350 - Ready to Race
Finished in the traditional Shelby colors of Wimbledon white with blue Lemans stripes, this original Shelby is truly special find. This car is not a clone nor a "wana be" racer. This Shelby retains its original body and all the proper Shelby and Ford VIN's are in place. It has been prepared and serviced with a "cost is no object" mind set and fully legal to run SVRA, HSR, RMVR, VSCCA vintage events, complete with a SVRA Medallion and log books. Over its life time it has run @ some of the most famous race tracks of all time, some of which include; Watkins Glen, VIR, Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock, Road America, Mosport, Waterford Hills, to name a few. To assure the car will continue to be a true front runner, it is equipped with the following: road race front end suspension with big spindles with aluminum hubs and Penske shocks, stage 3 rear suspension with sliders and Penske shocks, competition 12" front brakes with 4 piston callipers and cooling ducts, competition rear drum brakes with cooling ducts. The rear end is a 9" with Detroit Locker and Mark Williams 31 spline axles. The engine is a fresh 297 cu in, 12.1 compression , roller rockers, MSD ignition, Canton road race oil pan complete with cooler. All this put to the ground through a Tilton triple disc clutch and a Jerico transmission with a comp shifter. Complete with a 22 gallon fuel cell and full fire suppression system. Spares include; front and rear brakes, ignition and carb, top loader transmission and an extra set of wheels and tires. Also available to the next owner would be race transport, full track side support and maintenance by LMC.
