1966 Dodge Coronet 500

Factory 426 Hemi Car

No other word, engine designation or advertisement campaign emerged so famous from the muscle car era than HEMI. Forever attached to the Chrysler, the HEMI in 426 street form would go down in history as a legendary motor, capable of incredible performance for the track or street.   Motor Trend Magazine described its acceleration performance as “absolutely shattering”.

This 1966 Coronet 500 represents a wonderful example of the first year the  factory 426 “Street” HEMI was available to the general public. It comes just as it did from the factory, painted Bright Red with black deluxe interior and console.   Under the hood you will find the famous 426 HEMI coupled with a floor shifted Torque-Flite automatic transmission. Having been under the same ownership for many years, this car has been lovingly cared for, and stored in good dry indoor environment. This Hemi spent most of its life in California   The car represents an excellent opportunity to purchase a factory 426 HEMI Dodge and what Motor Trend called the “one of the fastest and most fantastic sedans ever” and very evident as you inspect the cars extremely solid body.
