1956 Ford Thunderbird

Beautiful Restored T-Bird

With the introduction of the Chevrolet Corvette in 1953, a new type of American car was now being produced. The two seater roadster was back, and proving to be popular. Ford jumped into the game with the Ford Thunderbird in 1955, it was an instant sales success, quickly outselling the Corvette. For the second year of production, minor styling changes were present, including the optional Continental Kit and famous “porthole” windows in the hardtop. Another change included more optional engine and drivetrain configurations with the "Y" block V8.

This tastefully restored 1956 model Thunderbird presented in white also features Fiesta Red and white interior to match the white removable hard top. It is powered by a 292 cu in version of Ford Y-block V8 engine with optional Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. This beautiful car also features many factory options sought after on early Thunderbirds including 4-way power seat, engine dress up kit, tinted glass, rear fender skirts, wire wheel covers, Town and Country radio, heater/defroster, power steering and power brakes. To make this car even more special, it also comes with dealer paperwork listing these features for this car. A very nice representation of 50’s era styling and innovation, documented in a two seater roadster ready for Sunday evening cruises to the diner!
