1930 Auburn 8-95 Sedan

“Barn Find”

Every automobile enthusiast has dreamt of the situation, finding what almost seems to be an abandoned barn in a field, upon closer inspection you’re rewarded with finding an ultra rare and sought after car from times past. In the end, few get to experience this exciting feeling of discovery, this 1930 Auburn 8-95 Sedan was the centre of just such a event.

Located as part of a local collection, this Auburn donned plate(s) registered last in 1981. Fortunate enough to have been lovingly cared for and stored in a nice dry structure, its all steel body remains incredibly solid. With a simple tune up and a little coaxing, the original 8 cylinder inline engine fired up and ran unbelievably well, making for a complete running and driving automobile. Upon closer inspection not only did the most of the gauges continue to work, along with the horn, but even the optional power windshield wiper continued to function wiping away 28 years of barn dust. With minimal work, this 8-95 model sedan could serve duty as an excellent driving time capsule, or also be a solid base to start a beautiful restoration. Either way, this car will continue to be the centre of a lot of conversations amongst auto enthusiasts, all reminded of that time they passed that old abandoned barn!
