1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Factory “R” Code 428
The 1969 1970 Mach One 1 bridged the gap between the standard Mustang and the Boss 302, 428 and
Shelby cars. It came with the 351 Cleveland or Windsor engine or could be ordered with the 428 Cobra. The car was a high performance, Muscle Car at an affordable price. It was one of the first uses of the now famous shaker hood scoop design, and could be optioned out with black- out treatment rear window louvers and front spoiler.
This well restored example comes fully documented with a deluxe Marti report showing that it rolled off the assembly line
September 10th 1968
. It is finished in its correct livery of Silver Jade paint with Black Clarion knit bucket interior, floor console and sport deck rear seat. Powered by the desirable “R” code 428 Cobra Jet – 4V engine and C6 automatic transmission, it also features the Shaker hood scoop with Mach 1 specific blackout hood and rear window lovers. Rounding out the list of options include power front disc brakes and traction lock rear differential with 3.50:1 gear ratio. To complete this package this Mustang also has Magnum 500 chrome rimes with modern radial tires for improved ride and handling. In addition to the previously mentioned Deluxe Marti Report, this Mach 1 is also blessed with an illusive build sheet, still in excellent condition.
