1967 Camaro SS
Tuxedo Black RS with a Big Block!
Chevrolet first described the 1967 Camaro as a "road machine" and promised buyers "wide stance stability and big-car power." The Camaro was Chevrolet’s delayed reaction to the 1964 Ford Mustang. While inspired by the “pony car” segment that the Mustang had carved out of the marketplace, the first Camaro was really promoted as more of a “Junior Corvette” that gave the family man with a hankering for a real sports car, the opportunity to buy one with four seats. Its overall appearance included a long hood and short rear deck with the popular “Coke-bottle” shape dominating the design. Many options and option packages were offered with some “model-options” that turned the basic Camaro into several distinct models.
Recently traded into us here at Legendary Motorcar, this first year example of the Camaro presents well with Tuxedo black paint and red bucket interior with console. A breakdown of the trim tag found on the firewall not only lists the black/red paint scheme but also the Big Block engine with 4 speed transmission and the very desirable RPO Z22 Rally Sport group giving it the hideaway headlights. The Camaro is equipped with power steering, power front disc brakes and the Big Block engine is tastefully upgraded with headers and Edelbrock intake manifold with Holley carburetor. It is also setup with GM Rally sport rims giving it a great look, wrapped with modern day radial tires for improved ride and handling. Prior to being traded in, the Camaro was treated to some maintenance work by the previous owner ensuring that it drove as great as it looks!!! This Big Block RS Camaro is a great car for the enthusiast searching for a fun car to be driven and enjoyed, with an eye catching look and Big Block Chevy performance to go along with it!!
