Better Known as the “
Ulster
”
The Austin Seven line of vehicles is in many peoples eyes the reason the British car industry became what it did. Designed by Herbert Austin in his home, allegedly on a billiard table, hence its size, the Seven would be the car that saved
Austin
from financial difficulties following WW1. Among the first cars to use the control layout we’ve all become accustomed today, they were also available in a wide range of body styles from touring cars to race cars.
Finished in Regency Red with black fenders and black interior, this particular Seven is setup as an EA Sport Two Seater, just as the Sevens were often raced.; no doors, no truck area, just a simple yet glamorous styled boat tail roadster. Equipped with brookland screens for wind protection, this car has a great look to it. Powered by the correct 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission, rolling on Armstrong 4:00 – 17” spoke wheels and equipped with nicely detailed interior, this Seven would be an absolute joy to drive on a warm day, certainly garnering a ton of attention from passers by, all while certainly not tying up too much precious garage place!!!!!!
