1935 Packard Twelve
12 Cylinder Model 1207 Formal Sedan

Through the early 1920’s Packard was known for its Twin Six before introducing the Straight 8 motor. Once the 1930’s came around, the cylinder/displacement battle between manufacturers was in full swing and the Packard Twelve emerged yet again. Displacing 445 cubic inches and designed with hydraulic valve lifters with a modified L-head design, it made lots of power, and no trouble powering the elegant cars into which it was installed.

This striking example of the Packard Twelve is a formal sedan model. Finished in white with a black vinyl roof, it showcases many features such as dual side mount spares, Trippe Speed Light driving lamps, dual tail lights and a chrome luggage rack. Open the front or rear suicide doors and you will find grey cloth interior, rear jump seat, divider glass and controls for the Packard Ride Control and the added A/C. Remaining in excellent running condition, a simple twist of the key will boost the V12 to life, settling into a nice idle. With some signs of patina and light use over the years, this Twelve still shows very nicely, makes a great car for special events such as weddings and is sure to be a conversation piece no matter where it’s taken.
