The 2006 model
year marked the return of the Viper coupe. Since the introduction of the third
generation Viper in 2002, consumers had to settle for only the roadster
version, the demand for a coupe became obvious and Chrysler responded. Sporting
many of the styling cues that made the previous GTS model so popular, the SRT/10 Viper became an instant
success.
The Viper SRT/10 shown here is a 2006
model, as if the unique Viper shape weren’t enough to turn heads, the Viper
Blue paint and polished wheels ensures people take notice. The fully functional
louvers seen on the hood, famous “double-bump” roof first seen on the original
GTS, back were the side exit exhaust, but also adding a small level of civility
to the car were the now standard features such as an Alpine audio system, air
conditioning and ABSbrakes. Showing only 2,934 original
miles (4,722 km) the 8.3L 505 hp V10 and 6 speed transmission still work as
new, and it is remains a clean example of the famous marque… Great bang for the
buck for the performance enthusiast looking to also grab some attention.
