One of the
most popular and sought after collector cars of the 60’s has to be the C2
design Corvette. They have been described as being ahead of their time for
performance, comfort and drivability. With 4 wheel disc brakes, independent
suspension and your choice of 327 to 427 motors, they could be had for almost
any purpose and any configuration.
This
beautiful 1966 Corvette coupe has benefited from a complete frame off
restoration and is finished in its desirable factory color of Tuxedo Black,
further enhanced by the addition of black leather interior and powered by a
numbers matching 327/350hp engine and 4 speed Muncie transmission. In an effort to
further enhance the drivability of this Black coupe, it has been upgraded with
some subtle, yet desirable modern parts, starting with the Hurst shifter. Also updated are the 17”
American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in performance radial tires, cross
drilled/slotted brake rotors and suspension sway bars. All parts were simple to
add, or, depending on your preference, be removed to bring it back to that
factory appearance. But if your desire is to put miles on this coupe, the
updates will never be viewed as a disadvantage. It is also equipped with many
options available from the factory such as the previously mentioned numbers
matching 327/350hp engine, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio and side
exit exhaust. No matter how the car is setup, a frame off restored, factory
Tuxedo black on black, numbers matching 327/350hp 1966 Corvette coupe would be
a valued addition to the garage of the enthusiast or collector.
