This
Grabber Orange 1970 BOSS 302 Mustang was originally shipped to George Busby
Ford in Nashville, TN on July 8th
1970. By
the time 1974 came around it would be sold once more, this owner would retain
the car until very recently when he traded it in to us here at LMC. Throughout
this long term ownership, it has been well cared for and always stored in a dry
environment, as is shown by the excellent condition of the body. The correct
BOSS 302 engine sports many of the typical “Day 2” modifications often put on
cars of this era such as an aftermarket air cleaner, full length headers, a more
precise shifter for the 4-speed top loader with reverse lockout and a column
mounted tach. The exterior of the car shows all the correct BOSS 302 stripes,
Magnum 500 wheels and even the badge installed by one of the selling dealers, “Reliable”
in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In addition to all this, this
special BOSS 302 also comes complete with not only full documentation from
Marti Auto Works, but also an original window sticker. A perfect car to be
driven and enjoyed with a little TLC, or a solid foundation for a future
restoration project, either way this BOSS Mustang is a special car ready for
the next stage in its history.
