1970 ½ Chevrolet Camaro Z/28

Documented with RS Package

The first major redesign of the Camaro brought big changes to the body style and some changes to the drivetrain options as well. A big change was to the very popular Z/28 model. Gone was the 302 engine, replaced by the LT1 350 cu in rated at an impressive 360 hp. This engine would develop a strong following with its aggressive sound and performance to back it up.

Presented here is a 1970 ½ Z/28 model equipped with the desirable Rally Sport “RS” package. Painted in its original color of Cranberry Red with black stripes and equipped with optional black deluxe interior, just as it was when shipped from the
Norwood Ohio assembly plant on the way to the original selling dealer, Jack Harris Chev Olds in Nanaimo , British Colombia, Canada . As is documented by the enviable GM of Canada paper work, this Camaro also came with lots of optional equipment such as posi rear end with 4.10 gearing, shoulder harnesses, power brakes, power steering, factory tach & clock, rare deluxe front & rear bumpers, previously mentioned RS package to name but a few. In addition to the previously mentioned GM of Canada papers, it also comes with more sought after documentation such as the original protect-o-plate, warranty information booklet and photos taken during the restoration. This Camaro has been well cared for and delicately maintained over the years, which can be seen in the fantastic overall condition as well as the appearance of the red oxide primer on the original floor pans under the factory undercoat. The numbers matching LT1 engine with Muncie 4 speed start and sound as impressive as ever while putting the 360hp to the original posi rear. Having spent the last few years as part of a collection, this special Z/28 this Camaro is ready for the next stage in owner history, ready to be driven and enjoyed, or shown as part of a collection!
