Following
in the footsteps of the ever popular mid year Corvettes was going to be
difficult. Fortunately for Corvette enthusiasts, Chevrolet was up for the
challenge and with the introduction of the C3 body style in 1968, they began
another exciting chapter in the history of the Corvette.
This
nicely restored 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster is finished in its correct and
desirable colors of Monza Red (code 974) with Red vinyl (code 407) interior.
Powered by a numbers matching L71 427 cubic inch engine topped with 3x2 bbl
carbs it was factory rated at 435 hp, complete with the factory smog equipment,
with a numbers matching Muncie M21 4-speed close ratio transmission; with all
that power going to the correct AZ 3.55 ratio posi rear end. This stunning
roadster also comes with many other factory options making it that much more
desirable such as side mounted exhaust, auxiliary hard top roof, power steering
and more. Of course all these factory options are documented by a partial tank
sticker taken from the original tank during the complete chassis restoration
completed in 2006, which is also fully documented with three binders of photos
and invoices showing the work from beginning to end. This Corvette truly does provide
it all, the attractive smooth lines of the early C3 Corvette covered by the
Monza Red paint, numbers matching L71 427 power nestled in a well detailed and
restored chassis with the documentation to back it up; a great addition to the
collection or garage of any enthusiast with an interest in American muscle and
sports cars alike.
