2008 Shelby GT-500

Menacing Looks, Incredible Performance, Very Low Original Mileage

Released in 2007, the Shelby GT500 was to be the newest high performance Mustang to come out of Ford’s in house hot rod shop called Special Vehicle Team. A continuation of the very popular SVT Cobra, it also coincidentally marked the 40 model year anniversary since the first Shelby GT500 hit the market. Obviously if Shelby was going to allow his name to be used in conjunction with this car, it had to be a world class performing vehicle, and it did not disappoint.

Painted Black clearcoat paint with alloy racing stripes, complimented by the Shelby interior package in black with black accents and Cobra embroidered seats, this menacing   example of the modern GT500 has travelled a mere 288 miles since being delivered to the original dealer. Powered by a supercharged version of Ford’s 5.4L DOHC engine, it is factory rated at 500 hp and 475 tire roasting lb/ft of torque, all this power goes to the ground through a T-56, 6-speed manual transmission and 3.31 ratio rear gear. This completely un-molested GT500 still has its original window sticker in place, has never been licensed for the road and retains all its factory componentry. With such low mileage, it is a perfect original car for a Shelby enthusiast to start with, or to be retained as part of a collection.
