1971 Ford Mustang BOSS 351

  •  Last Year of the Boss and Low Production
  •  351/330HP 4bbl with 4-Speed Hurst Shifter
  •  Ram Air Induction Hood

Legendary is proud to offer for sale this rare 1971 Mustang Boss 351.

The Boss 351 designation referred to the new 351 cubic inch High Output engine which produced 330 horsepower, a full 40 horsepower more than the Boss 302, making it the quicker of the two at the drag strip.  Journalists of the day reported the Boss 351 would repeatedly inhale its way through the quarter mile in under 14 seconds at over 100 mph.  The Boss 351 is a real collector's piece because it was only produced for one model year.  As the muscle car era came to a close, the Ford performance division is remembered by the menacing four speed, drag ready Boss cars that reiterated their reputation with every time slip.

Back in the day the slogan was ‘There’s a Ford in Your Future’ and the Boss 351 attracted more Mustang fans to the rapidly growing Mustang legend.

This rare 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 is stunning in the correct White paint reflecting its original factory specifications. The killer exterior profile was one of the main styling features of this Boss SportsRoof model which was achieved with the near horizontal rear window/deck and raised Rear Spoiler.  The Black Front Spoiler, the Blacked-out Rear with the raised Black Spoiler and stylish Black Racing Stripes gives this muscle car a very aggressive stance.   Unlock the chrome Hood Locks and under the Black Ram Air Induction Hood lies the  Boss 351 V8 engine mated to a Four Speed wide ratio manual transmission. The driver shifts the car through the Hurst Competition Shifter to put power down to the rear wheels through a ford nine inch  rear axle.  finished  with chrome magnum 500 rims with BFG TA radials are at the mercy of the high performance Boss engine.  High-back Black Ruffino Corinthian Bucket seats provide the expected comfort while Power/Tilt Steering, Dual Body-colored Mirrors, Tach and AM/8-Track Radio are nice amenities. Next owner will be provided the original Care and Operation Booklet and the Operating Features Booklet for this Boss.

This Boss 351 represents the last of the classic muscle cars - something that collectors, enthusiasts, and manufacturers have been searching to reconnect with. As the last year of the Boss Mustangs these are rare low production and arguably provide the nicest driving experience. This White Boss will be an exciting find for the Blue Oval Boss enthusiasts. A beautifully restored car with much time and money spent to restore this wonderful example.
